We are proud to be partnering with a leading organization in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector to recruit a skilled Utilities Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a dynamic, high-performing team, working in a fast-paced production environment that values innovation, safety, and sustainability.

About the Role:

As a Utilities Engineer , you’ll be a key player in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of all utility systems (compressed air, steam, HVAC, chilled water, etc.) across the site. Your strong mechanical background and expertise in P&ID’s (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and PFD’s (Process Flow Diagrams) will be essential to optimizing plant performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of all utility systems.
  • Interpret and update P&ID’s and PFD’s to support engineering projects and plant modifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CAPEX and process improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Utilities Engineering role within the FMCG or a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of utility systems (e.g., steam, air, refrigeration, etc.).
  • Proficient in interpreting and creating P&ID’s and PFD’s .
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication and project management abilities.
