As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles or equipment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and procurement to deliver robust and innovative solutions from concept through to production.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and detail mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
- Conduct FEA analysis and engineering calculations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, and software teams to ensure system integration.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting during development phases.
- Generate technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and product performance.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
- Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within vehicle, agricultural, or earthmoving equipment industries.
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools and engineering analysis software.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
- Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
