On behalf of our client, a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of specialized heavy machinery, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in vehicle systems or earthmoving equipment. About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles or equipment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and procurement to deliver robust and innovative solutions from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and detail mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
• Conduct FEA analysis and engineering calculations to validate designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, and software teams to ensure system integration.
• Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting during development phases.
• Generate technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes and product performance.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
• Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within vehicle, agricultural, or earthmoving equipment industries.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools and engineering analysis software.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
• Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
