Description:
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of home lifts, managing teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and liaising with clients throughout the installation process. This role includes a mix of site visits, administrative responsibilities, and hands-on involvement where required.
Responsibilities:

Attend site meetings and assess the feasibility of home lift installations
-
Assist with the sales process during initial assessments
-
Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of home lift systems (training provided)
-
Ensure accuracy of installation measurements and layout drawings
-
Plan and monitor installation timelines to align with project schedules
-
Manage and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors for safe, high-quality, and on-time installations
-
Ensure team members are fully utilised and productive daily
-
Oversee the performance, leave, overtime, and daily planning of direct reports
-
Communicate consistently with clients and contractors regarding project progress and delays
-
Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve on-site problems
-
Handle client complaints and attend meetings as required
-
Test and commission home lifts before final handover
-
Assist with installations when necessary
-
Maintain and monitor health and safety compliance
-
Recommend process improvements to enhance installation efficiency
-
Approve minor expenses and ensure adherence to out-of-town budgets
-
Oversee credit card use, vehicle checks, and tool inspections
-
Verify incoming stock and manage branch stock records
-
Create and manage project communication channels (e.g., Teams groups)
-
Administer disciplinary steps where necessary
-
Participate in weekly and monthly management meetings
-
Travel monthly to visit project sites along the Garden Route and Eastern Cape
Requirements:

Proven experience in a project management or site management role
-
Any project management-related qualification or certification would be beneficial
-
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
-
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed per SARS rates)
-
Willingness to travel regularly
- Salary: negotiable.
