ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTLocation: East RandContract Type: Permanent A leading logistics company based in the East Rand is looking to hire an Enterprise Architect to join their dream team. The Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring that the client has a solid and future-proofed that is relevant and efficient for the organisation’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex technology infrastructures, while maintaining an awareness of evolving industry trends and technological advancements.REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in enterprise architecture, IT infrastructure or systems architecture
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid architectures.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficiency in designing and managing complex IT environments, including infrastructure, data, applications, and security.
- Expertise in evaluating and selecting technology stacks, tools, and platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering solutions that align with business needs.
- Experience in leading large-scale architecture projects, particularly in the supply chain or logistics.
- Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives within large organizations
- Experience with consolidating and upgrading legacy systems and its integrations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Maintain Enterprise Architecture : Design and maintain the enterprise architecture framework and strategy, including current and future state architectures, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals and objectives.
- Reduce Technical Debt: ensure that the enterprise architecture does not hamper the business’s goals by reducing the agility of the Tech team to provide solutions.
- Technology Evaluation and Integration: Evaluate current technology solutions and propose new technologies that align with business needs. Lead the integration of new systems with legacy systems, ensuring seamless functionality and performance, and where possible, decommissioning legacy systems in order to provide a simplified technology solution
- Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide architectural solutions that support business growth and innovation.
- Design Scalable and Secure Systems: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, flexible, and secure technology solutions that can evolve with the business. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security protocols are in place.
- Governance and Standards: Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards, methodologies, and governance practices to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all projects.
- Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development: Develop a short, medium and long-term strategic roadmap for technology evolution, focusing on improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and innovation.
- Lead and Mentor Teams: Guide and mentor junior architects and technical teams in architectural best practices, methodologies, and technologies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with architectural decisions and technology implementations. Provide strategic recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, best practices, and tools. Recommend improvements and innovations to the enterprise architecture to enhance performance, security, and overall business value
