We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Volkswagen Workshop Technician to join our team. As a key part of our aftersales department, you will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and maintenance on Volkswagen vehicles to the highest standards. You’ll work with the latest tools and VW diagnostic technology, ensuring every vehicle that leaves the workshop meets the brand’s safety, performance, and customer satisfaction expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine servicing and maintenance on Volkswagen vehicles in line with brand standards and manufacturer schedules.
Carry out mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
Use Volkswagen diagnostic tools (ODIS, etc.) to identify and resolve faults.
Follow all workshop procedures and complete job cards and reports accurately.
Conduct vehicle health checks and advise on any additional work needed.
Work closely with the Service Advisors and Workshop Controller to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of jobs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized working environment.
Keep up to date with Volkswagen training, technical bulletins, and product knowledge.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Requirements:
Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent essential).
Previous experience working within a franchised dealership, preferably Volkswagen or another VAG brand.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Valid driver’s license.
Desirable:
Volkswagen Group training or VW Accredited Technician status (preferred but not essential).
MOT Tester certification (advantageous).
