Are you currently a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, looking for a change of scenery?
My client, a well-established Company specializing in the manufacturing and supply of wood board products, hardware and building materials is looking for a Production Supervisor, ideally with a wood work / carpentry / shop fitting background to join their vibrant, dynamic team in Woodstock to assists with:
- Planning daily production and supervise production activities to ensure service delivery deadlines are met
- Implementing and maintain production records
- Set up equipment and oversee and plan equipment maintenance and servicing
- Continually ensure that quality standards are being maintained
- Manage stock requirements to fulfil orders
- Supervise warehouse and stock storage
- Assist / supervise loading of customer orders
- Maintain Health & Safety (OHS)
- Make sure the production area is clean and organized
- General Production and Operations Administration
- Provide coaching / mentoring where needed to staff
- Work overtime when required
Requirements:

- Have a proven track record (at least 10 years) as a successful Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (ideally wood work, carpentry and/or shop fitting), managing a team of production staff members
- Have Grade 12 plus, ideally, a relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- Ideally have working experience in Engineering, print, packaging, plastics, wood working, shop fitting or the signage industry
- Can demonstrate technical ability/understanding
- Have OHS experience
- Ideally have a Forklift License (Optional)
- Are Computer literate (MS Word and Excel)
- Are structured and systematic in task completion to ensure general efficiency and accuracy
- Can work effectively with others as part of a team.
- Are able to collect and critically evaluate information to enhance performance and productivity.
- Can pro-actively identify and efficiently solve problems for improved manufacturing efficiencies.
- Have the personality attributes and technical and supervisory skills typically associated with successful Production Supervisors.
- Have good English communication skills (verbal & written)
- Are willing to work Monday to Friday 8 – 5 and Saturdays 8 - 1.
You may be the successful candidate if you:
