Senior Finance Manager

Location: Durban, KwaZulu Natal
Salary: R1.4 mil - R1.8mil Pa (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

Job Overview

The Senior Finance Manager plays a critical role in steering the company’s financial strategy, ensuring sound financial practices, and enabling business growth. This role encompasses oversight of budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting to enhance strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (South Africa)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar finance leadership role

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, forecasting, and risk management

  • Experience in managing working capital, liquidity, and cash flow optimization

  • Strong foundation in financial analysis, cost control, and business performance improvement

  • Deep understanding of tax regulations, corporate governance, and compliance

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Finnivo / Roll-Up Sheets is an advantage


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Strategy:
    Develop and manage financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.

  • Financial Operations:
    Oversee daily operations of the finance team, enhance process efficiency, manage working capital, and optimize cash flow. Ensure compliance with audits, risk management protocols, corporate insurance, and governance standards.

  • Payroll Management:
    Supervise payroll processing, reconciliations, tax compliance, and liaise with payroll service providers.

  • Forecasting & Planning:
    Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic goals.

  • Board Engagement:
    Prepare documentation and reports for Board, Audit & Risk, and Investment Committee meetings.
