We are seeking a well-organized and customer-focused Service Advisor to act as the key link between our customers and the workshop. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, managing vehicle service and repair bookings, and ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process. Your role will be central to delivering a positive aftersales experience, boosting customer satisfaction, and supporting the workshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, both in-person and over the phone.
Schedule and manage service and repair appointments, ensuring optimal workshop efficiency.
Accurately record customer concerns and vehicle symptoms to relay clear instructions to technicians.
Provide accurate cost estimates, obtain necessary approvals, and explain work carried out upon vehicle collection.
Keep customers updated on job progress, delays, and any additional work required.
Liaise with the workshop to ensure timely completion of work and quality checks.
Process invoices and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
Upsell additional services and maintenance packages when appropriate.
Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, escalating where necessary.
Follow all brand and dealership policies and maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Service Advisor, Aftersales, or customer service role within the motor industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in using DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and Microsoft Office.
A good technical understanding of vehicles and mechanical work (advantageous but not essential).
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle busy service environments.
Full UK driving licence (or relevant local equivalent).
