Maintenance Manager (lodge maintenance)

looking for an experienced facilities maintenance manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of 3 safari lodges comprised of 107 rooms (58;25 & 24) and supporting infrastructure, equipment and systems that can sustain a five-star safari travel experience. The successful candidate reports directly to the General Manager and will ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of all facilities at the highest level expected in the safari lodge industry, manage several teams of maintenance staff and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Key responsibilities:Supervise, coordinate and ensure execution of all maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations, upkeep of rooms, buildings, staff accommodations, mechanical equipment, and systems in collaboration with lodge management and housekeeping.Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted facility availability for guests and operational effectiveness.Manage and lead teams of maintenance staff at each facility, including training, development, and performance management.Preventative and statutory maintenance of vehicle fleet.Ensures quality of services performed by external contractors in accordance with lease agreements, service contracts and warranties.Ensures that emergency equipment, water and electrical supplies are always working.Maintaining a safe working environment and responding to building safety-related and functionality concerns immediately.Maintain accurate and up to date statutory records of all maintenance work conducted and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage department budget, control expenditure, maintain cost efficiency and provide monthly reports to the General Manager and Finance Manager.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.Attend HOD meetings and other meetings as required.Requirements:Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.Relevant technical...

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
2. Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering).
3. Strong knowledge of facilities management, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between facilities.

Working Environment

1. Remote rural location which is 70km from Bela-Bela.
2. Shift or rotation work.
3. Availability for emergency at night and on weekends.
