Our client, a prestigious wine estate in Stellenbosch , is seeking a dynamic Events Coordinator to assist in planning and executing various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering seamless guest experiences.
Duties will include (but not be limited to): *Assisting with event setup, décor arrangements, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day *Liaising with clients, vendors, and service providers to coordinate event details *Help with managing event bookings, quotations, contracts, and payments *Supporting the Events Manager with scheduling, staffing, and general event logistics *Responding to guest inquiries and provide friendly, professional service *Ensuring the venue is well-prepared before and after events *Assisting in handling any last-minute challenges that may arise *Ensuring compliance with venue policies and health and safety regulations *all other tasks related to this position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Matric with a 2-year Diploma in Hospitality/Events Management OR
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in Functions/Events in Hospitality;
• Wedding coordinating experience beneficial;
• Knowledge of conference/event preparation techniques;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attentive, friendly and service-oriented manner;
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Nightsbridge, Canva);
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations;
• Willingness work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Own reliable transport.
