Concrete Technologist

Job Purpose:
The Concrete Technologist is responsible for the testing of prestress concrete to ensure the product conforms to specifications.

1. Educational Qualification:
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
2. Experience:
Minimum of 5 to 10 years' relevant experience in a construction, ready-mix, or quarry environment.
3. Qualifications in Concrete Technology: SCT 30 – Concrete Technologist Certification is essential.
4. Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Proven experience working within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Proficiency in cement mix design, including control of heat, weight, aggregate, cement, and water ratios to meet project-specific requirements.
Solid understanding of concrete laboratory testing procedures.
5. Computer Skills:
Fully computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
6. Language & Communication:
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with management and staff at all levels.
7. Personal Attributes:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to report accurately and clearly.
Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06h00 – 15h30)
