My client is seeking an Accountant to oversee the financial operations of their company and ensure accuracy, profitability, and compliance.This role is based in Brooklyn, Pretoria East.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare financial reports, oversee month-end reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy. VAT & Compliance Ensure correct VAT allocations and full regulatory compliance. Accounts Management Oversee creditors, debtors, and cash flow to maintain financial health. Profitability & Cost Control Optimize pricing, reduce waste, and improve margins. Stock & Inventory Management Monitor stock levels, control wastage, and implement cost-saving measures. Systems & Process Oversight Ensure the efficient operation of financial systems (MDA, Pilot, and Odyssey). Team Leadership Manage payroll processes and support staff development, in collaboration with HR.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of 5 years in a similar role. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency; MDA/MRI experience is a plus. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to drive financial efficiency.
