Description:
Main Purpose of the Role:As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of controlling and reporting activities, ensuring accurate financial information across SAP ERP, SAP SAC, SAP Group Reporting, Planon, and Enablon platforms. You will take ownership of key reporting functions and assist with internal controls, audits, statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and business support across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of SAP SAC and SAP Group Reporting (GR) processes.
- Monitor and report monthly financial performance (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow).
- Analyze and comment on deviations from budgets and prior periods.
- Review month-end accruals, provisions, and financial reconciliations.
- Oversee risk, opportunities, and ESG reporting for Exco and group.
- Lead IFRS 16 reporting in Planon and manage compliance with 34 key controls.
- Assist with external audits, annual financial statement preparation, and interim/year-end processes.
- Coordinate B-BBEE and SED financial reporting.
- Manage RITS (Regional IT Services) reporting and sign-offs.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (AP, AR, cash management, tax, and legal) and external Auditors.
- Support acquisition processes and financial due diligence.
- Deliver ad hoc reports, financial analysis, and strategic insights for leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- BCom Accounting Honours or similar financial qualification.
- SAIPA / CIMA qualification or similar (advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial controlling or reporting role.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SAP S/4HANA.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations (VAT, WHT, and income tax), and statutory reporting.
- Strong background in foreign currency revaluations, financial statement analysis, and internal controls.
