Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G Radio Network Optimization Engineer to join their dynamic team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is an exciting opportunity for a GSM/UMTS or LTE/5G Network Optimization Engineer to contribute to the performance improvement of a major telecom network.
RAN Vendor Competence: Ericsson / Huawei / ZTE / Nokia (specific vendor requirements may vary by country)
Key Responsibilities:
Performance and configuration data collection, report generation, and detailed analysis RF Coverage and Capacity Analysis using Drive Test logs Root Cause Analysis for network issues and KPI improvement Multi-layer access technology optimization including Concentric Cell Optimization and 2G Spectrum Re-farming L3 message collection and analysis Frequency Plan Optimization and Interference Matrix generation KPI monitoring and trend analysis with reporting to clients Antenna parameter optimization (Tilt, Azimuth, Power, Height) based on RSRP, SINR, RSCP, and Ec/No analysis Capacity analysis and recommendations for network efficiency Spectrum re-farming and frequency plan verification using Operator OSS Coordination of ISHO optimization activities
Required Skills & Tools:
Strong understanding of GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G call flow processes and procedures Proficiency in OEM OSS platforms and network management tools (Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE, Nokia) Ability to work independently to meet KPI and operational goals Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Basic scripting and macro generation (e.g., Visual Basic) Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills Proficiency in MapInfo or other GIS tools Wireshark (advantageous) Experience in generating and interpreting KPI reports, Worst Cell analysis, and implementing corrective actionsExperience Required: 2–5 Years
