Description:

This role encompasses planning, developing, and implementing commercial strategies to support the groups business development and sales and marketing strategy.

KPIs:

1. Group Commercial Strategy and functional team deliverables

2. Sales strategy and functional team deliverables

3. Marketing strategy and functional team deliverables

4. Remarketing strategy and functional team deliverables relating to off-lease and refurbished equipment

5. Ad-hoc Projects

6. Effective people management

7. Effective self-management and performance ownership

Group Commercial Strategy and functional team deliverables:

Enhance and develop the commercial strategy for the group.

Drive the development of markets and territories in South Africa and broader SADC region

Develop new/relevant & implement new product offering across the group companys

Conduct market research and ongoing environmental scanning to ensure the relevance of the group to market needs

Monitor commercial activities to drive group sustainability

Sales strategy and functional team deliverables:

Achievement of targets

Alignment of sales strategy to overall organisational strategy

Alignment to legislation

Sustainability

Marketing strategy and functional team deliverables:

Provide support in terms of high-level engagements

Develop networks and brand presence within industry circles

Create alliances with market players (e.g. suppliers)

Market and promote the brand and product offering

Identify and open opportunities for markets and segments

Maintain and retain key accounts

Explore and develop new business

Explore social media channels

Project Management:

Fulfilment of project objectives

Quality, relevance and timeliness of project outputs achieved

Effective people management:

Effective leadership / management

Effective job analysis, evaluation and appropriate staffing (including future planning)

Effective performance management and organizational discipline

Effective employee welfare, career development and training

Effective management of strategic and statutory HR issues

Compliance to company policies and procedures, corporate governance and relevant legislation

Education and Experience:

Commercial Degree and or Post Graduate Degree or equivalent in management/similar

10-15 years experience in a Financial Services or Asset Management Finance environment

Excellent understanding of Commercial, Sales and Marketing within an asset based finance banking environment

Sound business acumen

Strong analytical skills

Strategic liaison & influencing skills

Sound unders
