Branch Manager
Join the frontline of early fire detection technology
The EVS Group is an innovator and pioneer in remote fire detection. With cutting-edge imaging software and purpose-built infrastructure, we monitor fire risks in real-time, protecting lives, land and livelihoods. We’re looking for a capable, people-savvy Branch Manager to lead our Sedgefield operations, a crucial hub in our national network. This position is currently based in Sedgefield but this may change to other areas in the region.
What the Role Involves
You’ll take full ownership of the Sedgefield branch, managing both operations and people, with the support of our head office and national team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a current team of six (detection operators and technical personnel).
- Overseeing the fire detection centre and ensuring optimal system uptime.
- Managing the maintenance and servicing of our remote tower sites and camera systems.
- Engaging with landowners, clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
- Managing local budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
- Reporting to head office on operational, technical, financial, and HR matters.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, internal policies, and SLA commitments.

You’re an energetic self-starter who thrives on keeping systems running smoothly and people working smartly. You're just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves on site as you are presenting a budget review to our finance team. You think on your feet, adapt fast, and know when to lead, when to listen, and when to roll up your sleeves. You stay calm under pressure, find solutions without drama, and know how to bring a team with you.
Must-Have Qualities:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organisational and administrative capabilities.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
- Proven ability to manage people, projects, and pressure.
- Basic financial acumen and comfort working with budgets (support provided).

This is a full-time, permanent position currently based in Sedgefield, Western Cape.
Remuneration will be market-related and commensurate with experience.
