Description:
Tailored Tutors is looking for experienced and enthusiastic tutors across all subjects from grades 6 to 12 in Cape Town, with a focus on those able to work after hours and on weekends. Successful candidates will be allocated one or more students and will be responsible for lesson planning, liaising with parents regarding their child’s academic progress, and transport to and from the student’s house or study venue.
Responsibilities:
Preparing lessons for your own student/s based on their subjects, grade, abilities and difficulty areas.
Reporting progress to students’ parents and advising parents on how to maximise their child’s growth and development.
Transport to and from the learning venue (currently within the Southern Suburbs, with potential for expansion), arriving on time and ready to teach.
Requirements
At least 1 year’s experience as a tutor, teaching students at Grade 8 level or above. Qualified teachers may also apply.
Own reliable transport.
Availability to work after hours (3pm-9pm). Weekend availability is a plus.
A schedule that allows for consistent tutor sessions. For example, the ability to commit to tutor sessions every Tuesday and Sunday at a given time.

R200 per hour (not including travel time), paid weekly. All financial liaisons between parents will be done by our admin team.
Study guides may be supplied for your student/s, depending on availability. All study guides have been written and designed by professional teachers and tutors, and our range of grades and subjects is expanding.
We are actively hiring tutors with weekend availability and those able to teach History, Business Studies and Afrikaans (Matric level), but all tutors who meet the requirements are welcome to apply.
