As a Debtors Supervisor you will responsible for the following:
- Supervise and manage the Debtors team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of all outstanding accounts.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections and minimize risk.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, processes, and procedures for debt collection and financial reporting.
- Prepare detailed reports on aging debtors, collections, and payment status for senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to resolve queries and disputes efficiently.
- Assist with month-end procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to the team, driving performance and ensuring continuous development.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Accounting Diploma/Degree (studying towards pertaining to your section)
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar debtor management or credit control role.
Experience in managing a team within a financial environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle high-volume accounts.
