Description:
Duties:Achieve and exceed set revenue targets for leisure bookings.
Develop and maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and group clients to drive sales.
Generate quotes, negotiate pricing, and close leisure sales effectively.
Plan, organise, and oversee hotel leisure activities and recreational programs.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of leisure events and guest experiences.
Providing administrative support to all departments involved in planning the event, including registration, catering, facilities, audio/visual.
Promote hotel leisure services, packages, and seasonal promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.
Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and special requests in a professional manner.
Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements where needed.
Track and report on revenue performance, sales conversions, and client engagement.
Serving as a liaison between the conference attendees and the event organizers by communicating any changes or issues that arise during the planning process.
Scheduling speakers and panellists, arranging for their accommodation, and providing them with any special services they may require (e.g., interpreters).
Arranging for catering services and purchasing supplies for meals during the event.
Proactively seek and secure new leisure business through sales efforts and networking.
Generate competitive and accurate quotes for leisure bookings and group packages.
Manage bookings and reservations, ensuring timely confirmations and guest satisfaction.
Maintain a strong pipeline of potential leisure clients and follow up on leads.
Coordinate with marketing to create promotional materials and sales strategies.
Work closely with travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients to secure leisure business.
Assist in upselling leisure packages, spa services, and recreational activities.
Organise and oversee special events, excursions, and seasonal activities for guests.
Ensure all leisure programs align with the hotels brand and service standards.
Remaining under budget with all costs.
Prepare and present revenue and sales performance reports to management.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
Requirements:
Matric
Tertiary qualification in hospitality / catering management
At least 3-5 years experience in the same / similar field
Previously worked in the hotel industry
Strong understanding of hospitality leisure services, including group travel, spa, wellness, sports, and entertainment
Knowledge of sales, pricing strategies, and revenue management.
