Description:
Estimate the time required for product manufacturing based on established principles
Review and process technical data from clients to create a bill of materials
Analyse both technical and commercial information from clients to prepare accurate quotations or tenders
Collaborate with clients and consultants to ensure all specifications, including schematics, are incorporated into the design and cost estimation
Assess changes in product configurations, raw materials, manufacturing processes, or services to evaluate their impact on costs
Manage time effectively to ensure timely submission of quotations and tenders
Attend kick-off meetings to hand over project details to the operations department
Follow established estimating procedures for proper document control
Participate in weekly quotation analysis and selectivity meetings
Ensure the most cost-effective offers for customers, including pre-negotiated project discounts from suppliers
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to calls and emails
Follow up on submitted quotations and update quote control regularly
Skills & Experience:
Fluent in Afrikaans (preferred)
Excellent understanding of medium voltage engineering design and selection
Able to read, interpret and apply electrical schematic diagrams
Minimum 5 years experience of medium voltage engineering design and selection for engineering Estimating costs and time for quotations and tenders
Minimum requirements
Electrical Engineering diploma
5 years experience of medium voltage engineering design and selection for engineering estimating costs
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
