Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd., is an established, commercial agricultural enterprise, specialising in the cultivation of fresh fruit and vegetables. Laastedrif is based in Ceres and serves a range of local supermarkets as well as international markets.

Laastedrif has a position available for a dynamic Financial Accountant with an analytical and detail-oriented approach to work, paired with the ability to function well under pressure.

The suitable candidate will report to the Financial Manager and will be responsible for: *Financial accounting up to trial balance *Reconciliations and account analyses *Maintaining integrity and accuracy of general journals *Processing of journal entries according to supporting documentation *Review and implementation of internal control measures and checks *Providing support with external audits *Providing support with the preparation and submission of financial and management reports *Fixed asset register administration and management *Submission of statutory returns *General accounting and administrative functions *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• BCom or BAcc degree;
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accounting role (experience in the agricultural industry will be advantageous);
• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English);
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel);
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
