Description:
Steyter Construction is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new apartment project in the Northern Suburbs. The successful candidate must ensure that all project goals are met efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities:
· Managing constriction site and overseeing all aspects of site operations.
· Supervising and managing site staff assigned to the site.
· Ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, including daily, 2-week, and monthly planning, ensuring no delays.
· Communicating schedule deviations promptly to the Contracts Manager.
· Ensuring that all snag lists are completed within the required timeline.
· Managing procurement, including obtaining purchase orders via the company’s system.
· Sourcing and adjudicating materials, managing sourcing via the BOQ and allowable documents.
· Sourcing new suppliers and subcontractors, collaborating with the QS department.
· Maintaining high-quality standards across all work, conducting checklist inspections as each trade is completed.
· Managing quality control according to the company’s quality management procedures.
Requirements:
- Construction: 10 years or more
- Site Management: 5 to 6 years
· 5 + years of experience as a Site Manager.
· Experience with apartment buildingsand residential construction projects.
· Knowledge of procurement, scheduling and construction processes.
· Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle.
