About the Role:
A leading company is seeking a Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is passionate about providing exceptional administrative support in the areas of medical aid schemes and employee benefits.
As the Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Assistant, you will work closely with the Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Consultants, assisting with the day-to-day operations of medical aid administration and ensuring the seamless delivery of services to employees.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive support to the Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Consultants in the administration of medical aid schemes and employee benefits.

Manage the onboarding and termination process for members on medical aid schemes.
-
Reconcile monthly billing reports and ensure accurate payment processing.
-
Assist with resolving medical aid-related queries and provide effective communication with members.
-
Distribute membership certificates and process new medical aid applications.
-
Liaise with medical aid service providers on underwriting and membership changes.
-
Handle the addition or removal of dependents from medical aid schemes.
-
Plan and coordinate Wellness Days for employees.
-
Engage with employees on medical aid-related queries and provide them with ongoing support.

Organize and facilitate year-end reviews and ensure that all client data is up to date.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical aid or employee benefits assistant role.

Familiarity with industry-specific tools like X-Plan or similar systems is an advantage.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Matric qualification (required).

RE5 (required).
-
Class of Business – Health Care Benefits (compulsory).

Additional qualifications in Retirement Funds and Long-Term Insurance will be advantageous.

Product-specific training with a medical aid provider is beneficial.
