Site Agent/Site Foreman Required
Requirements:
• National Diploma/BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar position for Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Projects on concrete, road, and earthworks.
• Proficiency in CCS
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Responsibilities
Project Management & Supervision:
- Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and manage project schedules, allocating tasks to crew members based on their skills and experience.
- Resource Management:
Ensure adequate availability of materials, equipment, and manpower, and manage their efficient utilization.
- Progress Monitoring:
Track project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Quality Control:
Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Communication:
Serve as a liaison between workers, subcontractors, and supervisors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and delays promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on the construction site.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Training: Provide training to workers on safety procedures and best practices.
Team Management:
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and motivate construction workers, ensuring their productivity and performance.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate worker performance and provide feedback.
- Discipline: Maintain discipline and address any worker performance or behaviour issues.
