Description:
The Work Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating work placement activities for students, ensuring alignment with academic requirements and industry standards.
This role involves liaising between students, host companies, and campus faculty to facilitate successful work placements
Placement Coordination:
Coordinate work placement schedules and hours in collaboration with academic faculty and host companies.
Ensure compliance with Work Integrated Learning (WIL) documentation and guidelines set by faculty heads.
Monitor the implementation of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between the institution and host companies, ensuring all parties understand their roles and responsibilities.
Student Support:
Provide guidance and support to students throughout the placement process, including preparation and orientation.
Monitor student progress during placements and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with host companies to secure and expand placement opportunities.
Act as the primary point of contact for both students and host companies regarding placement logistics and requirements.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all necessary documentation, including placement agreements and assessment records, are accurately maintained and filed.
Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with placement guidelines and academic standards.
Reporting and Evaluation:
Prepare reports on placement activities, student outcomes, and employer feedback for faculty and management review.
Participate in evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of placement programs and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
3-5 years’ experience in coordinating work placements or related educational programs.
Knowledge of educational and industry standards related to work placements.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and external partners.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant database management systems.
