Product DesignerLocation: Montague Gardens, Cape TownDepartment: New Product DevelopmentReporting to: NPD Manager Our client in the converted paper product manufacturing industry, based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, is seeking a creative and technically skilled Product Designer to lead the development of seasonal product ranges. This role involves guiding the full design process from concept to production, ensuring innovative, brand-aligned products reach the market successfully. Key Responsibilities- Develop trend-forward, commercially viable product concepts
- Translate brand identity into all designs
- Create detailed CADs and tech packs to support cost-effective production
- Monitor product performance and drive ongoing improvements
- Work cross-functionally to ensure quality and timely sample execution
- Identify market gaps and contribute to new product development
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
- 3+ years of relevant experience (preferably in textiles or manufacturing)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Solid knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims
- Detail-oriented with excellent planning and communication skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure, both independently and in a team
- Driver’s license and own transport preferred
