Primary Tasks & Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Oversee a team of credit underwriting analysts, offering day-to-day support and guidance. Credit Assessments: Conduct limit and rating setting, as well as re-assessments for a specific portfolio within the global oil marketing division. Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis, including spreading financial data and assessing credit risk appetite. Portfolio Management: Take responsibility for more complicated reviews involving asset valuations and financial structures (e.g., investments, loans, assets). Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor portfolio triggers, escalate issues as necessary, and report on credit risk performance and sector trends. Sovereign & Sector Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis on relevant sovereigns and sectors. Macro-economic Analysis: Produce and present macro-economic insights and commentary for the portfolio. Cross-functional Reporting: Manage global oil credit risk reporting and communication with senior stakeholders. Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with senior management and the commercial credit team. Project Involvement: Participate in local and global credit-related projects.Key Relationships:

Bachelors Degree (preferably in finance, risk management, accounting, economics, or business studies). Postgraduate qualifications are beneficial. Relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) are a plus.Work Experience & Skill Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in Credit Risk/Credit Underwriting within mining, commodity trading, banking, insurance, or consultancy. Financial analysis experience is advantageous. Proficiency in coding (e.g., VBA, PowerBI, Python) is a plus.Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a rapidly changing team. Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Numerate with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
