Key responsibilities:Develop a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations. Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise. Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and ensure that the goals are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance. Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions. Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe the people, resources and controls involved in the processes. Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data. Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into sub-units, and the internal or external management of those units. Conduct business capability map assessments to identify areas of improvement and make the changes necessary to carry out strategy or reshape the business. Responsible for designing business architecture artefacts. This includes creating and maintaining the knowledge base and connecting it to other domains such as processes and system applications Manage the practice within an organisation as it matures by formalising the supporting infrastructure, training, methodology, governance, and tools. Ensure solutions developed across the organisation are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits). Develop and evaluate requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs), where required. Establish, build and maintain collaborative working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders. Build and maintain positive and value-adding relationships with relevant external stakeholders. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate performance barriers and success to continuously improve on the service delivery. Work in collaboration with colleagues in the centre to ensure timeous delivery of the work and manage service level agreements (SLAs). Required qualifications and experience:
Must have an information technology-related diploma or degree AND a professional architecture certification (i.e. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Zachman certified, Certified Business Architect (CBA)). Must have at least five years of experience as a Se
