Purpose of the Position:
The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions for 13 entities and supervising a team of staff.

- O B Com Accounting Or Similar Qualification
- O Advanced Excel Skills
- O SAICA Accredited Articles
- O Caseware Working Papers Experience
- Advantageous - Familiarity With Accpac / Weconnectu
- Advantageous - Knowledge Of Accounting And Taxation Principles For Sectional Title Schemes
- Advantageous & Home/Owners Assoc Schemes
Key Performance Areas:
- Accounting and Financial Reporting: Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Team Management & Mentoring: Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Financial Pack Preparation: Prepare monthly and annual financial packs for review.
- Audit Support: Prepare annual audit packs and income tax schedules; liaise with auditors to assist in completing year-end audits.
- Financial Statements: Draft Annual Financial Statements using Caseware.
- Monthly Reports: Prepare monthly financial reports for presentation to the Board of Directors and Trustees.
- Budgeting and Long-Term Planning: Prepare and maintain annual budgets, 10-year maintenance plans, and 5-year replacement plans.
- General Ledger Management: Manage the General Ledger, including accruals, provisions, inter-group reconciliations for loan accounts, and debtors/creditors.
- Business and Financial Support: Provide support to departmental managers, Property Regional, and General Managers.
- SOPs and Documentation: Assist in drafting standard operating procedures and documenting process flows within the accounting department.
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare and submit statutory reports.
- Asset & Stock Management: Maintain fixed asset registers and stock schedules.
- System Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of subsystems to the accounting system.
- Adhoc Tasks: Handle additional tasks as required.
