Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer or Structural Technologist to join a dynamic team within the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of structural projects, with a strong emphasis on commercial developments. This position combines office-based design work with on-site responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to apply technical expertise and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Design and conceptualize structural systems for commercial buildings in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Perform structural analysis and create detailed models using software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Evaluate loads, materials, and environmental factors to ensure structural integrity and sustainability.

Develop structural specifications that balance performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.

Provide technical guidance and oversight during construction phases, ensuring designs are correctly implemented on-site.

Conduct facility condition assessments and structural assessments as needed.
-
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
-
Monitor project timelines, quality, and budgets, reporting progress to relevant stakeholders.

Stay up to date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc/BEng) or BTech in Structural Engineering.

Professional registration with ECSA (or in progress).

Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering design, with a strong focus on commercial projects.

Proficiency in structural design software, especially Prokon.

Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Physically fit and able to work in both office and construction environments.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
