Welding and brazing Technical knowledge Tools and Equipment knowledge SKILLS REQUIRED:
Monitors machinery and repairs faults Analyse faults and determine root cause Be able to read drawings Assembling metal components Maintains and repair machinery Good at working with hands Machining components accurately Following safety protocols

Fabrication and Assembly
Constructing, assembling, and fitting components for machinery, vehicles, installations, and other apparatus or articles. Operating machinery like lathes, mills, and welding equipment to shape and fabricate metal parts. Working from detailed technical specifications and blueprints to determine suitable materials and sequences of operations. Working from samples to manufacture replacement parts. Maintenance Repair
Performing regular maintenance on machinery, diagnosing and repairing any faults. Identifying and addressing issues with machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Installing new plant and equipment Other tasks
Welding, cutting, and grinding various materials. Ensuring that plant and equipment conforms to legislative requirements. May erect machines and equipment on-site. Supervising maintenance teams on-site, ensuring jobs are completed safely and efficiently. May be required to fill in for shift artisans from time to time
