- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
- Manage the general ledger, including bank reconciliations and journal entries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Support the senior finance team with audits and tax compliance.
- Help streamline processes and assist in identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions.
Experience and Skills Required
- B Com degree in Accounting or Finance (essential).
- SAIPA/SAICA accreditation (essential).
- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with accounting software is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
