Job & Company Description:A well-established mining group is seeking a seasoned finance professional (CA(SA)) with 7 - 10 years of post-qualification experience to take on a pivotal role in financial reporting, tax management, and strategic financial oversight. This role offers the chance to oversee financial operations across multiple entities, drive compliance, and provide key decision-making support to senior leadership.
Other duties include:
- Overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial and non-financial reports across multiple entities.
- Managing group-wide treasury functions, ensuring effective cash flow and maximizing interest-earning opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with multi-jurisdictional tax requirements, including mining-specific regulations.
- Providing strategic financial insights to executive management and the Board to support business objectives.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, analyzing variances, and presenting findings to leadership.
- CA(SA) qualification
- 7 - 10 years of post-articles experience in financial reporting and tax, preferably within the mining sector.
- Strong treasury, tax, and compliance management expertise.
- Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional environment with international reporting standards.
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
