Assistant Letting Manager

Job Purpose

To implement the letting strategy, manage letting operations, oversee letting teams, and report on letting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Letting Sales Management:

  • Implement the sales/letting strategy.
  • Manage sales promotions and initiatives.
  • Market available units and ensure readiness for rental.
  • Maintain expertise in sales plans and initiatives.
  • Achieve monthly and annual vacancy and letting targets.
  • Provide unit viewing support and manage letting agents.
  • Support tenant retention through transfers and solutions.

Letting Operations:

  • Manage enquiry and leads processes.
  • Oversee client-facing experience and application processes.
  • Ensure compliance with credit vetting policies and lease documentation.
  • Recommend lease term/documentation enhancements.
  • Deliver quality customer service and resolve letting queries.

Tenant Support Management:

  • Implement and comply with tenant on-boarding processes.
  • Resolve tenant queries and correspondence.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit and manage staff.
  • Monitor and manage performance and development.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Reporting:

  • Gather and compile data for reports.
  • Interpret statistics and make continuous improvement recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • NQF 4 in property management, marketing, sales, or similar (preferred).
  • Supervisory qualification (preferred).

Experience:

  • 3 years in property management, letting, marketing, sales, or similar.
  • 1-2 years in supervising a sales team.
