Vehicle Sales Executive - Job Description
Job Title: Vehicle Sales Executive Location: Pinetown Reports To: Sales Manager / General Sales Manager
Job Summary:
A Vehicle Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling vehicles to customers, ensuring excellent customer service, and meeting sales targets. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the vehicle market, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Customer Interaction:


Engage with prospective customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable vehicle options.


Conduct test drives with customers and provide detailed information on the vehicle features and benefits.


Present and explain pricing, finance, and lease options.


Negotiate and close sales deals in accordance with dealership policies.


Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.




Customer Service:


Provide a high standard of customer service, ensuring all customer queries and concerns are addressed promptly.


Follow up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business or referrals.


Maintain relationships with clients through regular contact, providing updates on new vehicle arrivals, promotions, and services.




Market Knowledge & Research:


Stay informed about the latest automotive trends, new model launches, and competitor offerings.


Provide insights and feedback from customers to the management regarding product preferences, vehicle features, and market demand.


Assist in keeping the dealership showroom and displays attractive, clean, and up-to-date with the latest models.




Administrative Duties:


Maintain accurate customer records and transaction details using the dealership’s CRM system.


Prepare sales reports, assist with inventory management, and track customer follow-ups.


Handle sales paperwork, including contracts, finance agreements, and vehicle registration forms.




Team Collaboration:


Work closely with the finance and marketing teams to ensure promotional offers are communicated effectively.


Assist in the preparation of vehicle presentations, events, and promotions within the dealership.


Collaborate with the after-sales team to ensure smooth transitions for customers and resolve any post-sale issues.




Skills and Qualifications:


Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.


Experience: Previous sales experience, ideally in automotive sales, is preferred but not mandatory.


Skills:


Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Negotiation and closing abilities.


Excellent customer service skills and a proactive attitude.


Good knowledge of vehicles and their specifications.


Basic proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




Working Conditions:


Full-time position.
