SSK, a well-established and diversified agricultural company, is currently recruiting for the following position in its Grain department in Swellendam. The suitable candidate will report directly to the Senior Manager: Grain and will be responsible for the successful management of Silo Maintenance and Expansion Projects.Responsibilities:
- Obtaining tender documentation (including permits and building plans) and quotations
- Coordinating compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Initiating and managing productivity and efficiency improvement actions
- Initiating and managing reduced energy consumption actions
- Conducting periodic audits on infrastructure and equipment with associated corrective actions
- Effective record keeping and continuous reporting at the Senior level
- The ideal candidate will have an appropriate technical qualification or proof of competence (Mechanical, Civil, and/or Structural) with a minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Project Management and Budget Management, with good planning, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Computer literacy with AutoCAD and MS Office, a good understanding of prevailing legislation regarding the above industry, and Labour and OHS-related legislation are required.
- Proven knowledge of the operation of Grain and Grain-related processes and a valid code B driving license are essential.
- The incumbent will need to function well under pressure, be willing to travel between sites, and occasionally work overtime depending on operational needs.
