2152 Director: Protection Services (P5) RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS│ Protection Services Bloemfontein Campus Main purpose of the jobResponsible for overseeing and managing the university’s comprehensive protection and security service. This position ensures the safety, security, and well-being of students, staff, faculty, visitors, and university assets. The role encompasses strategic development, operational implementation, and oversight of modern technologies, emergency preparedness, and effectiveness collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. A forward- thinking approach is critical to enhancing the university’s security and compliance framework.

- Postgraduate Diploma in Security Management/ Criminology or equivalent.
- Private Security Industry Regulation (PSIRA) Grade A certificate.
- Ten (10) years' proven extensive senior management experience in security, or crime prevention environment, law enforcement or protection services environment.
- Knowledge of systems and technologies related to protection services.
- Master’s Degree (NQF 9) in Security Management / Criminology or equivalent.
- Private Security Industry Regulation (PSIRA) Grade A certificate.
- Twelve (12) years’ proven extensive senior management experience in security, law enforcement or protection services environment of which five (5) years should preferably be within a tertiary education environment.
