Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Medical Receptionist based in Port Elizabeth, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric; Own, Reliable Transport 5+ Years Experience managing Doctors diaries, appointments, scheduling and managing a practice Well spoken, well presented Languages - English, Afrikaans, Xhosa (advantageous) Working hours Monday to Friday 8:00 17:00 Experience dealing with medical aids, hospitals, pre authorisation and related admin assistance

Duties:
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and kind manner, whether in person or telephonically. Schedule appointments and maintain records and accounts. Attend to patient enquiries. Run an efficient diary and appointment schedule. Keep patients informed if the Doctors are running late and manage service delays professionally. Efficient filing and retrieving of patient records. Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information. Obtain and update authorisations from the medical aids for admissions and any chronic/PMB applications. Confirming of benefits. Maintain accountability for payments, collections and receipting of monies. Invoicing of room consultations Submitting of hospital billing to an external bureau / billing company and ensuring they receive the correct codes and billing rates. Maintain practice inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs. Attend to patient emergencies. Protect patients'' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Work seamlessly as part of a team. Ensure a neat and tidy re
