Responsibilities
Management of the vehicle tracking system
Daily tracking of vehicles to ensure that we follow the best possible route Efficient route planning, using the vehicle management route optimization system Responsible for coordinating collections with Drivers and Runners
Ensure vehicles leave the yard no later than 15 minutes after their shift has commenced Provide daily collection schedules from the vehicle management system and amend when required on the applicable system Schedule / reschedule or cancel collections on the vehicle management system when applicable Ensure vehicles offload timeously, to minimize turnaround times (at the sites and MRFs) and improve productivity Personnel management
Ensure that staff members work productively and efficiently, as stipulated in their job description Conduct monthly team meetings with Drivers and Runners Ensure that staff members wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Ensure employees clock in and clock out daily Confirm that the attendance registers are signed by staff when required Effective management and appointment of casual staff in the transport department Assist Drivers in completing accident and damage report as per the company SOPs Ensure all Drivers offload their materials at the end of each shift Ensure all data collection processes are adhered to Management of vehicles
Ensure that vehicle inspections are carried out daily and report any defects to the National Transport Manager Conduct inspections on the vehicle tyr
