KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bookkeeping Duties
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions by posting and reconciling accounts. Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing. Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Record and process payroll transactions and assist with employee reimbursements. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
Accounting Support
Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts under the guidance of senior team members. Perform basic financial analysis to identify trends and variances. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations. Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and information as required.
Administrative Duties
Maintain an organized filing system for financial records, invoices, and receipts. Monitor and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Handle routine correspondence related to financial matters.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial data. Report discrepancies or issues to the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager promptly. Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (essential).
EXPERIENCE
1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role (essential). Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems (desirable).
