Dis-Chem Pharmacies Eastern Cape / Garden Route has an opportunity available for a Pharma Sales Representative. The main purpose of the position is to increase visibility and awareness of the Groups pharmaceutical and medical products by maximizing sales growth. Act as the key link between wholesaler and healthcare professional. Develop new and existing customers relationships to drive increased sales.Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate
- NQF 4 Pharmacist Assistant PB Advantage: Undergraduate
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in Pharmacy sales
Advantageous:
- Undergraduate qualification in Sales and Marketing
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years in direct sales and detailing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pharmacy Sales and Promotions:
- Drive prospects for new business and develop pipeline of leads and convert to actual new business.
- Ensure sustainability by maximizing sales potential with existing customers.
- Stay abreast with the latest trends and products supplied to optimize sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
- Keep informed of new developments in the industry, anticipating potential positive and negative impacts and adjust sales strategy in consultation with management. Coastal Sales and Marketing Manager
- Engage manager regarding plans on how to approach contacts and creating effective business plans for driving sales in particular area.
- Assess clients’ needs and present suitable promoted products.
- Liaise with and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis.
- Provide product information and deliver product samples.
- Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium circuits.
- Build positive trust relationships with medical representatives to influence targeted groups in the decision-making process.
- Maintain satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate and territory coverage.
- Negotiate additional display areas and space, in line with marketing objective, to accentuate the brand building activities.
- Build and maintain business relationships in-store/in-practice with personnel who have an impact upon the company’s business.
- Engage in a detailing session with all parties (scripting/dispensing doctors and pharmacists) Administration & Reporting: Name and
- Ensure all sales contracts and other documentation are completed correctly and documentation is submitted to the support team.
- Investigate problems, prepare reports, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints.
- Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.
