Description:
Work within a team of switchboard operators and handle 700 extensions.
Screen and direct calls to the correct extension numbers or departments.
Manage international calls
Assist internal and in directing queries to the correct persons or departments.
Field and escalate complaints to the correct persons
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:Grade 12
Basic Work Experience Required:
1 – 2 years’ experience in handling a busy switchboard
Knowledge And Skills:
Knowledge of Business Connect system
PC and Keyboard Literacy
Must be able to work under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good attention to detail, planning, organising and follow up skills
Good interpersonal skills – willing to assist and go the extra mile
Excellent telephone and customer service skills
Adaptable, strong sense of teamwork across the organisation
Deadline driven / results orientated.
