Our client, based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Finance Clerk to join their team.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three (3) year Qualification in Financial Management, Accounting or related fields.
- Minimum of Five (5) years relevant working experience in a finance department.
- Computer Literate (MS Office: Word and Excel).
- Pastel Evolution experience advantageous.
- Accurate Data capturing and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to perform under pressure.
- Manage and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Disciplined in following procedures when executing tasks.
- Responsible, accountable and dedicated.
- Valid Driver’s License.
DUTIES AND SKILLS:
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- Process and perform daily reconciliations of internal financial systems.
- Process and perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Analysing and investigating annual and monthly financial accounts.
- Maintain the administrative tasks associated with the accounting function.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Attend to all queries from internal and external parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; and
- Perform any task that is reasonably requested by the employer.
