Description:

Our client, based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Finance Clerk to join their team.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three (3) year Qualification in Financial Management, Accounting or related fields.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years relevant working experience in a finance department.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office: Word and Excel).
  • Pastel Evolution experience advantageous.
  • Accurate Data capturing and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure.
  • Manage and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Disciplined in following procedures when executing tasks.
  • Responsible, accountable and dedicated.
  • Valid Driver’s License.


DUTIES AND SKILLS:

  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Process and perform daily reconciliations of internal financial systems.
  • Process and perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Analysing and investigating annual and monthly financial accounts.
  • Maintain the administrative tasks associated with the accounting function.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Attend to all queries from internal and external parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; and
  • Perform any task that is reasonably requested by the employer.
