Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Business Advisor to join our team who specialises in short-term asset and crop insurance in an Agri environment. The primary responsibility of the Insurance Business Advisor will be to provide expert insurance advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively. The Insurance Business Advisor will assess various insurance options, evaluate risk factors, and point out the insurance products on offer. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong understanding of insurance policies and regulations, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience in short-term insurance;
- RE 5;
- RE1 - will be to your advantage;
- Suitable candidate must be strongly marketing oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the existing Prieska book with a focus on expansion to surrounding areas
- Analyse clients' insurance requirements and assess their risk profiles
- Evaluate various insurance options and present suitable policies to clients to help them make informed decisions
- Ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance protocols
- Communicate and negotiate with insurance underwriters to obtain competitive insurance premiums and terms for clients
- Review and amend insurance policies as necessary, ensuring they remain aligned with clients' changing needs and circumstances
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive insurance solutions and cross-sell other insurance products to ensure clients' insurance needs are fully met
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring outstanding customer service and retention rates
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations, attending relevant training sessions and seminars as required
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including insurance policies, claims, and interactions

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate clients' insurance needs effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance underwriters.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients concurrently.
