Senior Software Tester

Description:

Department: IT - INFRASTRUCTURE
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. Conducting tests, analysing results and report observations to the design team.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
Executing tests on software usability.
Evaluate product code according to specifications.
Analysing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
Help troubleshoot and replicate issues
Conduct post-release / post-implementation testing
Interacting with business to understand product requirements.
Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements.
Ensure that all tasks are executed in a safe manner with due regard for the company's policies and procedures, regulations specific to the use of equipment and products and regulations prescribed by the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Report unsafe acts / working conditions / injury on duty to the manager / safety manager immediately.
Maintain good housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Degree in Computer Science or ISTQB certified
5 years of testing experience across multiple applications
2+ years of experience in test automation
Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
Working knowledge of programming.
Familiar with Agile frameworks
Familiar with integration and regression testing
Jira experience would be advantageous
Working knowledge of SQL
Strong expertise in Playwright
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or another relevant programming language.
Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile methodology
Experience with API automation and performance testing would be advantageous
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) would be advantageous
