About the Role

Our client based in the northern suburbs of Durban is looking for a strategic and analytical leader to head their Resource Planning team. This role is integral to ensuring optimal workforce planning, forecasting, and scheduling across customer service and sales teams. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of planners and resource schedulers, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with business goals.

You will play a key role in shaping and developing resource models that drive operational excellence. Through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with senior stakeholders, you will enhance service delivery and workforce productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing planning team.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams and clients to optimize resource planning.
  • Develop accurate forecasting models and scenario planning for effective workforce management.
  • Monitor and analyze demand trends, ensuring staffing levels align with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work closely with operational management to optimize daily workflows and resource allocation.
  • Manage leave, shrinkage, and offline activities to maintain efficiency.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and workforce satisfaction.
  • Drive improvements in management information (MI) reporting, workforce tools, and shift patterns.
  • Provide data-driven insights on headcount, performance, and workforce optimization.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the leadership team.
