Description:
A reputable packaging company is looking to employ a Corrugator Lead in their busy and demanding production line. To lead and coordinate the group Corrugator Department (People, Plant, Process and Systems) to achieve the required standard of product quality and output in the most efficient and effective manner MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:MANAGEMENT OF PROCESS, SYSTEMS & TEAMS:
-Champion the execution of group corrugator strategy incorporating operational, talent development, management of service providers, and operational objectives.
-Supports Corruseal strategic direction and business objectives and contribute to achievement of organisational goals.
-Manage SLAs with service providers – not limited to engineering, converting/corrugator, distribution, warehouse, including external stakeholders.
-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate continuous improvement.
-Management of talent and performance for Group Corrugator team.
-Ensure best maintenance practices are applied whilst ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
-Initiate changes to process/maintenance schedules to improve performance.
-Control spare usage and maintenance cost across the group.
-Establish and maintain strong partnerships with OEMs
-Negotiate service terms, pricing, and technical support agreements
-Ensure compliance with OEM contracts and policies.
-Coordinate with OEM technical support teams for updates, issue resolution, and escalations.
-Utilise short interval control to identify improvement opportunities
-Lead the application of focused improvement processes to deliver ongoing improved performance within team / department.
-Develop and drive implementation plans to progress maturity in the WCM/Lean principles and practices.
-Deliver group sustainability business plan.
-Build and sustain positive relationships relevant internal stakeholders including external service providers.
-Cultivate productive working relationship and build organisational capability and responsiveness.
-Ensure coordination of MDT across plants.
-Management of waste, production projects and ensure alignment in budgets.
REQUIRED MINIMUM AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
-BSc engineering in mechanical or electrical field.
-Graduate Engineer in mechanical or electrical is critical.
-10 years relevant work experience.
-Minimum 10 years in a managerial role within the similar field (packaging or paper manufacturing)
