Urgently looking for a Group Distribution Manager!!!!!Job & Company Description:
This giant in the packaging space has an exhilarating opportunity for a Group Distribution Manager who is adaptative and out of the box thinker to manage group distribution, logistics and warehouse departments to satisfy customer service needs whilst optimizing the utilization of assets and the department’s performance to remain competitive.
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
Strategy Development and Alignment:
- Champion the development of group distribution strategy incorporating customer service, talent development, management of service providers, and environmental sustainability objectives
- Supports strategic direction and business objectives and contribute to achievement of organisational goals.
- Manage SLAs with service providers – warehousing, forklift, rent, training
Operations Management:
- Serve as a centre of excellence for all distribution functions – Raw materials, WIP, FG, Dispatch, pallet yard and waste processing.
- Manage stock accuracy and quality.
- Establishing standards for all the distribution processes.
- Manage cost optimisation in distribution and across the supply chain.
- Oversee warehouse (internal and external) optimisation.
As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential.
The requirements:
Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or Logistic Management (NQF 7) or equivalent (minimum)
Experience:
- 10 years’ relevant work experience
- Proven 10 years record as a distribution manager or in a similar managerial role
- Exposure in distribution, logistics and warehouse environment is critical
- Strong knowledge of legal requirements and regulations related to distribution and transportation
Skills Required:
- Attention to detail.
- Strategic Leadership
- Project Management Skills
- Report and analysis
- Problem solving
