Description:
Darling Romery, located in Darling, is a dairy processing plant that handles the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of fresh milk, fruit juices, and dairy related products.
The services of a Server and Security Administrator are required. As a member of the IT team, you will be expected to be responsible for the maintenance and security of the servers and general IT system.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and characteristic
· Microsoft or Comptia certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Comptia Server +)
· Proven experience working in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment
· Experience with networking (routers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN)
· Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking protocols, and software applications.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions.
· Experience Microsoft Exchange
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical abilities.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor backup jobs, identify failures, and implement corrective actions.
· Perform regular backup tests and recovery drills to ensure data can be restored efficiently.
· Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues or vulnerabilities.
· Set up and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access control.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups.
· Provide technical support to end-users, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.
· Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
· Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT solutions and strategies.
· Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
· Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations or upgrades.
· Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications as needed.
