Description:

Are you a strategic HR leader with experience in corporate environments and a deep understanding of the security industry’s regulatory landscape? EC Security Services, a trusted name in private security since 1997, is seeking a seasoned Head of Human Resources to drive HR excellence across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned to the company’s mission, vision, and growth targets.

  • Lead the HR team across all functions including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, skills development, and compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Labour Law, PSiRA regulations, and Bargaining Council agreements specific to the security industry.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and industry forums.

  • Manage disciplinary processes and union engagement with a focus on fairness, consistency, and best practice.

  • Oversee high-volume recruitment and ensure all appointments meet PSiRA and regulatory standards.

  • Design and implement initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

  • Provide strategic HR insight to executive management and support business units with effective workforce planning.

  • Ensure accurate payroll coordination.

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive HR role.

  • In-depth knowledge of:

    • Bargaining Council agreements applicable to the security industry

    • PSiRA regulations and compliance requirements

    • Corporate HR practices and governance

    • South African labour law and CCMA procedures

  • Experience working in the security or a similar regulated industry (labour-intensive or unionised environment preferred).

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in the security industry or knowledge of its operational and regulatory framework will be a distinct advantage.
